Project Overview
The results of FFCRC RP3.1-07 provided valuable information and practical experience on the hydrogen compatibility of plastic pipe materials in a realistic environment. The objective of this project is to support the long-term continuation of the hydrogen test-bed facility and to conduct material testing of pipe samples following continued exposure to hydrogen. This research is world-leading, and extending the project will ensure that the facility is maintained as the leading edge example for the longest duration of plastic pipes in 100% hydrogen service.
